English term or phrase: Pale One
Hi fellas. I'm looking for the Finnish equivalent of how an English-speaker would call a person "Pale One", as in a name that that person would be called. So briefly, imagine someone who's called "Pale One" in a small town or something of the sort, I'm having a hard time finding what the Finnish equivalent to that would be.

Cheers and thanks in advance.

Valju

Explanation:
Interesting concept! I assume there could be numerous suggestions for the Pale One depending of the context and how one wishes to portrait the character. What comes to my mind would be “valkonaama” (white face) or Valju or something like that.

neutral  Timo Lehtilä: I don't agree much with 'valju' (I catch it more like 'colourless, sickly, feeble), but 'valkonaama' is ok.

agree  Heikki A (X): After some pondering, "kalpeanaama" sounds good. "kalkkilaivan kapteeni" is a bit too derogatory... EDIT: FYI, literally kalpeanaama=paleface

-> Yes, with the information we have, I would definitely go for "kalpeanaama", but considering the milieu, the context may also be sarcastic: in a small community, the names people call those who appear different are not necessarily very polite.

agree  Heini Aronen: I would go for "kalpeanaama". It's kind of humorous, too, with its Wild West connotations. "Kalkkilaivan kapteeni" is funnier and possible a good choice as well, but it's quite long and somehow less likely.

pale one
maitonaama

Explanation:
literally, "milk face". Almost the same as "kalpeanaama", but more rare. I would say "kalpeanaama" and "maitonaama" are just as derogatory as "nigger".
