许多交易在未成熟时，很多公司高层为避免尴尬，都会利用 ”亲信“ 向对手传话、穿针引线或讨价还价。所以，这些 “亲信“ 对交易内情细节，一定会知道甚详。有合约写明防止对方 （转让方）的 ”亲信“ 利用职权来谋一己私利 ”use any advantages derivable from such confidential information in its own business or affairs“，也不足为奇。
译成 ”受信人“ 也可以， 但严格来说，最多只能理解为 Trustee （如果不误会为 letter recipient 或 addressee)，与 confidant 相去深远，因为 Trustee 在守密方面，没有 ”亲信“ 的要求，来得更严格，角色也不同。
