Deductible (Iznos ličnog učešća) je izraz koji se koristi kada osobe imaju pravo na pokriće osiguranjem Medicaid-a, čak i kada im je uračunati dohodak veći nego što je uobičajeno za Medicaid-ov standardni dohodak. U tom postupku, medicinski troškovi koje je osoba napravila tokom meseca oduzimaju se od dohotka te osobe za taj mesec. Onda kada se dohodak tog pojedinca smanji na određeni nivo predviđen od strane države, ta osoba onda ima pravo na beneficije Medicaid-a do kraja tog meseca.
