Hvala vam puno

Explanation:
Hvala vam puno, želim vam ugodan dan.

In case a person is a very good friend, you could also say this without using honorifics (ie - you could say the whole thing using second person singular instead of plural)

-Hvala ti puno, želim ti ugodan dan.

thank you very much
Mnogo vam hvala

Explanation:
Hvala vam velika.
Hvala vam mnogo.
I do not disagree with "Hvala lijepo", neither I oppose this way of expressing one's appreciation. For instance you placed a call to a certain company inquiring about something and they did not help you much. Although you are not satisfied with their answer, your good manners oblige you to pay them your gratitude for their efforts and then you say "hvala lijepo" or "hvala". However, you may add more to "hvala" like you did above (have a great day). You can pay your thanks by saying Thank you very much or thank you so much if you are happy and satisfied with an answer or service.

Thank you, have a great day! = Hvala vam, želim vam prijatan/ugodan dan.
You can express your gratitude on many ways. For instance:
Hvala vam, želim vam sve najbolje.
Hvala vam. Sve najbolje želi vam Alicia. (in a case you wrote a letter or e-mail to knwon people working in other department of your company).
I could write more, but I am afraid you will get confused.
