QD has not responded to Halcrow's last letter dated 21 October 2012 in which Halcrow noted a difference in the details for the rocker pipes from those preferred by Kahramaa but pointed out that there were no additional costs due to delay, disruption or abortive works and no additional costs for QD.

A ‘rocker pipe’ is a short length of pipe used when installing drainage at connection points with a structure or a manhole. The rocker pipe adds some flex into a drainage system and thereby allows for settlement of the ground at different rates.
