Në fakt, Fabiana, unë jam pro përdorimit të fjalës "kujdestar" në këtë rast, pasi nuk ka tjetër që e përshkruan më qartë përgjegjësinë e të marrit përsipër rritjen e një fëmije, por shpjegimi në anglisht që e vecon këtë lloj kujdesje nga të tjerat është pikërisht "officially taking a child whom you are not related to into your family for a period of time, without becoming the legal parent".

agree  TrueBaller: Dakord, por unë do të përdorja termin "birësues" në këtë rast. Mendoj se "kujdestaria" ka të bëjë më tepër me "guardianship","mentoring", "supervision". Fostering a child (temporarily or not) is considering him/her like your own = birësim (në Shqip).

  -> Falemnderit, Mimoza. Keni të drejtë.E di që dhe fjalori e përmban "birësim", po meqë ky term përkon gjithashtu me "adoptim", nuk isha e sigurt sa i qartë do jetë lexuesi me kuptimin. U përpoqa, po s'e shkurtova dot frazën shpjeguese :)
