Dutch to English translations [PRO]
Marketing - Marketing / Market Research
Dutch term or phrase: spannend
Er wacht ons geen spammende, maar een spannende toekomst.

This is the final sentence in a blog written by a marketing professional. The blog deals with marketing and how technology (mostly spamming) has basically ruined the profession. He then explains what can be done about that and the sentence given above is the final sentence of the piece. The wordplay is very good in Dutch and I can't think of something in English that would work quite as well.

Explanation:
Just my tuppence worth. You could even pad it out to something like ‘pans out fine once the spam’s out of [or: off] the line’.

-> I think the play on spammende and spamtastic just about works. They are both cheesy word plays on what are after all positive words :-)
