I am especially doubting about the meaning of "bepaling" in Dutch.

Because market share can be calculated in several different ways - e.g. revenue, profit, products/services sold, etc. - the manner in which this is DETERMINED becomes particularly importnat to those parties being judged. It would appear that KPN is questioning the marktaandeelbepaing (-methodiek) - ie. the (method) of determination of market share.
