unzipped

Explanation:
Ook 'unpacked' wordt wel gebruikt om aan te geven dat comprimeerde bestanden worden uitgepakt, maar 'unzipped' is inderdaad de meest gebruikelijke term.

A self-extracting Zip file is an executable program file (.EXE file) that includes a Zip file and software to extract or \"unzip\" the contents of the Zip file. Users can run (execute) a self-extracting Zip file just as they run any other program.

When a self-extracting Zip file created by WinZip Self-Extractor is run, a dialog box is displayed. This dialog box makes it easy for the user to change the \"unzip to\" folder and change other options before extracting or \"unzipping\" the files in the self-extracting Zip file.

Self-extracting Zip files created by WinZip Self-Extractor are 100% compatible with the ZIP 2.0 file format, so they can be unzipped by a standard unzip utility such as WinZip.

If you have downloaded the files, or obtained them from a third party disk, such as a magazine cover disk, the Calc files are compressed either as a self-extracting zip file (C98xxxx.exe) or as a zip file (C98xxxx.zip). Self-extracting files can be unpacked by running the file (e.g. by double-clicking the icon). You can choose the directory where you want the files to go, or use the default (recommended). Otherwise, the files can be unpacked using a utility such as zip, WinZip or PKUNZIP. The self-extracting zip file will run a setup utility which will add shortcuts to your Start menu or desktop. If this does not run automatically you can start it by double-clicking on setup.exe in the Calc directory.

Een andere, zeer gangbare term voor \'uitgepakt\' is \'extracted\'.

Documents can be uploaded to the server individually or they can be combined into Zip files which are then uploaded and extracted automatically.

disagree  Johan Venter: Zip or unzip are only used for Winzip or Windows packages. Other packages like Winrar use the term "extract, whcih is more neutral and applicable to any such software packages
