Interview with a stage and film actor about his early career in the theatre. Images of bringing audiences to their knees or forcing them into submission don't quite work for me somehow...

Een decennium lang toerde hij met monologen, vaak volkse verhalen van de Italiaanse toneelschrijver Dario Fo, zoals ‘De tijger’ of ‘Obscene fabels’. In zijn eentje **dwong hij volle zalen tot overgave**, werkte hij zich druipnat in het zweet en stond hij naar eigen zeggen “350 van de 400 keer echt te huilen bij het verhaal van de ‘Poezemuis’ (een van de twee ‘Obscene fabels’, nvdr)”.

Thinking of starting out 'Working solo, he regularly played to a full house,...' Any ideas how to get the idea over?
