Danish term or phrase: rundkredspædagogik
I am looking for a slightly derogatory expression for rundkredspædagogik.
(A reference to overdoing the
Hvad er klokken?
Hvad synes du selv? approach.)

My context is not terribly helpful unless I give you a couple of pages, but it is a discussion of types of leadership in the context of democracy.

How to get people to do what has to be done, willingly, in a complex situation where they need to see the purpose and cooperate.
Too much democracy leads to ´rundkredspædagogik´ and wastes time, and this is put fairly strongly as an opinion.

The ideal is that (in contrast to rundkredpædagogik) a manager or leader assigns tasks and everyone has an idea what the others are doing, so they can coordinate, but that areas of responsibility are also clearly assigned and respected.

I think you may be able to just translate this directly and have it be well understood. I always feel like "pedagogy" is a bit more of a fancy term in English than "pædagogik" is in Danish but I don't feel that there's a more casual word that is as correct.
The fact that this practice of leadership is not appreciated/desirable will probably be reflected from the context.
