Danish term or phrase: Kyllingedel
Kyllingedelen vil støtte dem i produktion, reduktion af produktionsomkostningerne (egen foderproduktion, som igangsættes i samarbejde med kommunen), afsætning og oprettelsen af en forening af kyllingeproducenter.

Not sure what "kyllingedel" means here. Certainly not a piece of the chicken. Help!

English translation:Chicken section
Explanation:
Looking at the rest of the sentence, this might mean part of the business.

I am not sure who ´they´ are and what they are aiming at doing in cooperation with the local authority, but it sounds as if keeping chickens might produce some synergy effects or spin-off together with their other activities.

Would that fit in your context?

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks! yes, it does fit in the context, and I know it's the only logic interpretation: The Kyllingedel is an entity or a section. But the thing is, it's not mentioned anywhere else in my text - which is looooong and talks a loooot about chicken production and the parties involved....
