My text is very disjointed, but this is one description I have found.

The context is strictly a story about a craftsman in the 19th century with some Danish history in the background, so this particular text has nothing to do with Freemasonry, which seems to come up all over the place when I google.

Is there a ´træmand´anywhere who knows an English expression for behøvling?
I have asked the client whether I can call it 'planing down', as the deadline is approaching, but I have not had an answer yet.

I will post it when I do, but the client may be open to other sugestions.

PS Space is limited, so a short expression rather than a long explanation will be REALLY helpful!
