This the one they use in all of their marketing as their preferred term. And Aalborg Snaps - or Allaborg Aquavit are Denmark's biggest producers of snaps! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 mins (2011-03-23 22:35:37 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Only just saw your last comment - I disagree with flavoured snaps in English - it is a very loose translation - Aalborg were always very specific about the fact that it was "spiced" as it is brewed in a special way - hope that helps! |

aquavit flavored with herbs and spices Explanation: Sandra makes a strong case and this is obviously more "wordy." However, I find it a bit odd to not mention the HERBS which are really quite essential to the mix, so if it's not too cumbersome for the text, I might go with this more detailed translation. And I have to agree that it is odd that there is such a lack of "reliable" translations from traditional sources. |
