crusty bread Explanation: I know this is a much narrower term than the original, but perhaps you can use it in this particular context? A lot of recipes in the UK suggest that you a main meal is served with 'crusty bread', which presumably is different from white bread used for toast, white rolls etc. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 43 mins (2009-04-21 14:28:37 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Whoops - drop the 'you' before 'a main meal'! |
