Čís. exh.

English translation: certificate number

Czech term or phrase: Čís. exh.
In a Czechoslovak birth and baptism certificate from 1949, the above is in left hand corner. To the right of it is a stamp that is cancelled.

I just wondered what this is an abbreviation for, and what its function is. I assume "Čís" means "číslo", though there is no legible number after it. (Also, please suggest English translation, if possible).

Thanks,

Stephen
