Catalan term or phrase: licencia vs. excedencia
I know the text below is Catalan, but I'm hoping to get more attention than I would if I posted it as such!

Is this just "leave of absence" vs. "unpaid leave of absence"? Any other thoughts suggestions (or confirmation) would be welcome.

Thanks

I think you're right
Explanation:
I can't find any reference to llicencia being anything other than a paid leave (of absence) vs. the excedencia being unpaid leave (of absence). And in your context, I think you wouldn't go wrong for treating it as such.

Bona sort!
