Yes, by 1st floor I mean the one above the ground level. In Spain, most people live in blocks of flats rather than houses, particularly in the big cities. The streets you mention are all located in the Eixample district in Barcelona and that's all flats. So in "Mallorca, 152, 3º 2ª" Mallorca is the street name, 152 is the house number (a block of flats), 3º is the 3rd floor (although, as we saw with "principal and entresuelo" it might actually be the 5th floor!) and 2º is the door number, as there can a be a number of flats per floor.

Thanks a lot! That's really helpful. Actually I am supposed to translate the address into Chinese:) By the way, when you said first floor, you meant the floor above ground level (according to British convention), right? If principal refers to floor, then 3º would be the room number?? I also came across this one "Mallorca, 152 3º 2ª" which puzzles me. Obviously, 152 is the street number. But what about 3º and 2ª??? They could be typos, though.
