في ميكانيك الكم هناك أكثر من جواب، أحدها: إن المشاهد يؤثر في المنظومة بطريقة ما بحيث يشخص الجسيم في موضع ما أي أن المشاهد يؤثر فيما يشاهد.
وهناك جواب آخر: وهو أن مجموعة الجسيمات الشبحية تلك التي رافقت جسيمنا الذي رصدناه موجودة في أكوان مختلفة وما يحصل أننا عندما ننظر إليها فإننا نرى أحدها في أحد هذه الآكوان وهذه الرؤية تحجب عنا البقية ولهذا لا نراها ولا نرى أثرها على شاشة التجربة.
